Atlanta DeKalb
International Training Center
(ATL DITC)
The living legacy of the 1996 Atlanta OLYMPIC Games
An exciting new day is dawning for Georgia, the nation and
the world. The seemingly unlikely dream of a place where people
from war-torn nations and developing nations can find peace,
reconciliation, understanding, education, cultural exchange
and training to compete for Olympic glory has been realized
The main campus of the Atlanta DeKalb International Training Center (ATLANTA DITC), is located at Brook Run, a beautifully wooded land in DeKalb County,
Georgia. The DeKalb International Training Center is a program
of Forging New Tomorrows, Inc. in partnership with the DeKalb
County Government. Founded, on August 4, 1996, by HSH Prince Albert of Monaco and Dr. Marc Daniel Gutekunst, the ATLANTA DITC is a one of a kind
international sports training facility with a two-fold mission:
providing first-class training to enable participating athletes
to compete in the US and internationally while furthering
their education and promoting peace and reconciliation between
these athletes and their nations. ATLATNA DITC athletes are future
Olympians and Olympians who come from Africa, Eastern Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas.
May 6, 2002 Ambassador Andrew Young inaugurated the DITC. Between May 2002 and August 2004, the DITC trained in 5 disciplines 46 athletes from 16 nations including the US, 4 athletes qualified for the Olympic Games, and Enefiok UDO-OBONG (NGR) took Bronze at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.
